My students work hard and are very dedicated to practicing and becoming better musicians. Many show up to school early or stay late just to practice. Approximately one fourth of all students at the school participate in the music program. The shared goals and camaraderie among the students has developed a strong community. So many students want to participate that most have to share instruments and other musical equipment. Many come from homes of modest means, and they do not take anything for granted. The students have shown significant heart, determination, and dedication to succeed.
