Literacy is the driving force of our world and our kids crave it whether they know it or not. After attending a very inspirational workshop, I believe that books in my classroom will benefit my students greatly. I learned that students who read for at least 10 minutes a day will read over 600,000 words a year! Although the media center is a wonderful resource, it will be extremely beneficial to have some of the titles right in my classroom. Literacy is very important to me and I believe that it is essential to student growth and achievement. Thank you in advance.
