Building a love for reading is my ultimate goal. In my classroom students enjoy immersing themselves in a novel by joining book clubs with their peers and favorite teachers. I promote a love for reading by sharing my personal love for reading. Students learn in a variety of ways but research has shown that students learn better when they are comfortable and engaged in their learning. Let's be real, traditional seating with desk and chairs is old fashioned and not engaging for our students. Students enjoy the library and coffee shops because of the comfortable chairs and multiple table selections. My vision is to transform the classroom into a library and coffee shop style environment to help motivate their literacy skills. This project will help my students by giving them a realistic learning environment where they can achieve success!
