The use of model kits is a necessity in a course such as Organic Chemistry. Imagine learning about bonds rotating without being able to actually see or rotate the bond. These model kits allow students to build and actually hold the molecules while learning about Newman Projections and isomers. AP Chemistry students can use these model kits to make abstract concepts such as electron repulsion easier to visualize. Students can build models and see how the bond angles are not actually 90 degrees. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase kinesthetic learning, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
