I am the sole art teacher at my school and this is my eighth year in this position. We do not have an art fee for the students; therefore, there is very little funding for art materials. When I do purchase supplies for the classroom, it is usually for practical supplies like crayons, pencils, and paper. My students are kindergarten through sixth grade and 95% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. The majority of the students do not have art supplies available at home, so school is the main place where they are able to explore their creative side and make unique works of art in which they can take pride. Thanks for all the support for my classroom and students!!
