Our AVID program strives to expose our middle schoolers to the college and life experiences to which they may never be exposed in their home life. This college tour to Florida Gulf Coast University may be the only college tour they take, and it will make their College Research Project come to life! It will show them how exciting and motivating it is to be a proud college student! My AVID students are hungry for success, and I am doing everything in my power to lead them to that path; this college tour will be those first steps along that path. Our students cannot afford the cost of field trips, so I am requesting funding for the charter buses in order to make this trip possible.
