We have limited funding for band instrument repairs. Patching old instruments together, paired with increasing enrollment, leads to a shrinking stock of instruments that we can put in the hands of our young musicians. Joining band should be a right, not a privilege. We are seeking to purchase a Conn-Selmer Prelude clarinet that will last well into the future. The list price is $399. This instrument will be loaned to one economically disadvantaged student each year. Sports teams perform better when their players are healthy; our band will perform better when we have a quality inventory of instruments to offer underprivileged students.
