My first grade students are always excited to learn new things. They are sweet, talkative and well behaved kids. All of my students qualify for free lunch. They have many challenges because they come from some of the most disadvantaged families in Chicago's metropolitan area. Our school is located in The Back of the Yards community. Despite the challenges they face they try their best and love coming to school.
