If our project is fully funded, students in special education will learn on-the-job training by taking coffee and tea orders, as well as cookie and muffin orders during the week. Students will develop advertising to bring in customers and train to make delicious coffee and treats for customers. Additionally, students will not only make, prepare, and serve coffee, but they will grow their consumer, social/emotional, communication, hygiene and worldly knowledge skills. Daily, students in resource life skills will learn to cook, clean, or sew to complement their coffee cart business. Materials will be utilized to create projects for themselves and for customers. Monday – Coffee orders, preparation Tuesday-Coffee cart orders, delivery, and clean up Wednesday-Clean up, banking, and planning grocery lists Thursday-Coffee cart orders, delivery, and clean up Friday-social/emotional learning/communication
