I am a kindergarten teacher working in a Tier 1 public school in New York city. Most of the students in my class are from low income families and often have English as their second language. Though they may come in with many disadvantages, I am always amazed by their curiosity, love of learning, and enthusiasm to come to school every day eager to learn something new. As their teacher, I am hoping to provide them with a classroom environment that enriches their young lives and helps them become life long learners.
