The resources requested will be used to create "task boxes" to help our special education students in the general education classroom. These "task boxes" will contain various activities and lessons targeting math, science, ELA (writing, reading, language etc.), life skills, fine motor skills, and social studies. All of our students have different educational needs and these resources will help them progress towards their educational goals. We will be putting together every folder and activity box to target a variety of goals. These will help students from kindergarten to 6th grade. Our goal is to help all our students no matter what goals they are working towards. The students can find these task boxes in their classroom where they will be colored coordinated by subject. During the day they can pull different activities out depending on the subject being taught in the classroom. The special education team at Farr West will utilize every resource we have asked for to create something that will be beneficial for all of our students. We are excited to create a system that will be sustainable and continue to benefit students for years to come.
