The young budding scholars will utilize these items to work with the class set of Chromebooks that we have been generously given to us by the district. The mice and the headphones will make navigating the web, researching and submitting projects as assignments easier. This will especially help my English Language Learners and Special Education population providing them with the opportunity to utilize the read-write function that is built into the software on the Chromebooks. We have been unable to utilize this software in the past because we did not have the items needed to use it properly. Providing my scholars with headphones and wireless mice will allow for the computer to read the material to them and it will type using their voice, improving their self-confidence, thus improving their grades. It will also provide them with a sense of independence because instead of being pulled out to go to another classroom to have an assessment read to them, they are able to stay an participate with their peers that will be listening to the same assignment.
