Our district has implemented a hybrid learning environment. Teaching students in person and online at the same time makes it challenging every day due to the lack of technology resources. Funding this project would help me obtain better learning resources for my students. Assisting students online and in person while sitting on a computer limits the help that can be provided to both groups of students. The iPad and Apple Pencil that I have selected will allow me to monitor and assist the students that are in person and online. They will also provide unlimited resources to research new learning strategies to implement in my classroom to keep my students engaged while learning. Students complain at times that they have they need additional time to view the material shared on our Google Classroom, therefore they have difficulty completing assignments. With the help of the IPad, I will be able to share the classroom activities on my PC while monitoring and assisting the students on the IPad. This device is known to capture students' attentions from all ages. My early childhood students' attention span is short, therefore keeping them constantly engaged is necessary to ensure they learn the content. The IPad and Apple Pencil are tools that will allow me to model lessons, such as learning how to write their ABC's, while learning in this hybrid learning environment. The use of this technology will allow me to captivate my students' attention and properly guide them through assignments. Today's technology is full of innovating learning techniques that may be implemented with the proper resources. Adding these tools to my classroom will easily help keep my students engaged and parents guided as we get through this hybrid learning curve.
