Playing house is one of the dramatic play areas I have for my students. When students play house, they quickly learn about sharing and taking turns. This allows children to experiment with the social and emotional roles of real life. My students learn to work as a team to make decisions together for the household. Playing house and other pretend play will boost my student's self-esteem as they discover through imagination that they can be anything they want to be. Self-confidence at an early age can help lay the foundation for children's self-esteem as they grow. Playing house also improves children's language and communication skills.
