These materials already have a place in our band program; we just need your help to get the supplies here! Our students are very excited to perform more music and marching band shows that incorporate modern technology, but our current setup is out-of-date and occasionally unreliable. Technology can represent the future of our society, and the incorporation of music technology will help my students prepare to be a part of a 21st Century workforce. With your help, we will be adding subwoofers to match our existing speaker set, adding an iPad controlled mixing panel, and supplying the necessary accessories to make these additions functional (such as microphone cables, a wireless router, and a power conditioner). This will allow us to make the best use of our current electronic setup as well as expand our opportunities to involve this technology in the classroom. With this equipment, my students will be able to learn firsthand about how technology can enhance creativity and expression in both the arts and society as a whole!
