HELP! We need sketchbooks so kids can demonstrate mastery of the design process! CAT specializes in the use art and technology as tools for expression and engagement in all classrooms; its woven into all aspects of what they teach. At CAT, students in the 9th grade take a full year of Digital Media Arts (DMA) with me in a beautiful Mac computer lab where they learn to use Photoshop, Illustrator, GarageBand, iMovie, and Adobe Flash as well as presentation software, google drive, email, and calendar. The course is rigorous and focuses on media literacy as well as critical thinking and writing conventions. But, our students do not have the resources to purchase art supplies. Sketchbooks are expensive, but are extremely important for the development of art inspiration.
