Most of my students have truly impoverished home lives. They don't have things as simple as paper and pencils at home and many depend on what they have at school to write with. Additionally, many of my students were born with disabilities affecting them physically and cognitively Many need maximum support to do what their typically developing peers do with ease, on a daily basis. That said, they have so much to give and relish in any opportunities afforded to them.
