We live in a world full of inventions, innovations, chaos, opinions, and successes. My students need a way to experience the world around them so they can better understand it. In addition to learning about current events, these TIME and Scholastic News will provide the opportunity for students to grow as readers. Students will grow their understanding of various text features, as well as build stamina as they come across topics they are more interested in. As they begin to discover new interests, they will more equipped to pick just right books and build reading engagement within the classroom and at home as well.

About my class
