My students go to an urban elementary school in Wisconsin. We are a second grade classroom with a diverse group of students. Our school is about 80% free and reduced lunch and students' families have little extra money to spend on school supplies. Our district has been facing budget cuts for years and there is little money left for basic things like updated furniture and hands-on materials.
