My students are 48 1st graders; eager to learn. They are very diverse; many primarily speaking Vietnamese and Spanish. My school is in one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina, an area and community still working hard to rebuild. We are a school committed to standards and Common Core curriculum; empowering all students to be college bound. The principal and staff of this school are deeply committed and our school continues to show academic growth every year.
