My students are vibrant and eager learners. They are excited by Science, Technology, Art and Math. They are true STEAMers. Unfortunately, my classroom lacks many resources that they need to be academically successful. My dream for them is to have technology that will help reinforce visual learning for my English Language Learners in both Math, Reading and Writing. A diverse classroom library that would increase their desire to read; this would be so rewarding. Some of my students have very limited experiences. They have not ventured outside of their community. Some have never been to the zoo, a museum or to a restaurant, and it is hard for them to make real word connections to topics were are discussing in class. Prior knowledge and hands-on experience is key to 21st century learning. As their teacher, I want them to be able to soar academically and socially and this bunch of eager learners deserves success.
