The inclusion of microphones and the amplifying system will increase student engagement and encourage student participation. Students will be more excited to speak up and present their work to the class. The "karaoke" style microphones will be passed around the class for students to share ideas. Having the two colors will allow for two teams to compete for prizes, or just bragging rights! Every voice matters, and giving students a microphone will bring out their strongest and most confident self. My students are encouraged to engage, debate, and challenge, and this project will increase some of the less outgoing to be heard.
