The Outley Elementary library is a gathering place for idea-sharing, information access, and socialization for students and their families from dozens of collective backgrounds. Here, we learn, play, and grow together to make ourselves and the world a better place for all. Outley Elementary School is one of 24 elementary campuses that make up Alief ISD in Southwest Houston. Alief ISD has over 80 languages spoken in its multicultural district with 40% of students having limited English proficiency. Outley Elementary houses the AIMS program for students in Kindergarten through 4th Grade who meet the GT testing criteria and also has the privilege of caring for students in the REACH and Life Skills programs for students in special education. 80% of the Alief ISD population is socioeconomically disadvantaged and may have limited access to physical and online libraries.
