The Hastings Ninth Grade Center library is a gathering place for idea-sharing, information access, and socialization for students and their families from dozens of collective backgrounds. Here, we learn, create, and grow together to make ourselves and the world a better place for all. Hastings Ninth Grade Center is one of 7 high school campuses that make up Alief ISD in Southwest Houston. Alief ISD has over 110 languages spoken in its multicultural district with 40% of students having limited English proficiency. Over 85% of the Alief ISD population is socioeconomically disadvantaged and may have limited access to physical and online libraries.
