I am the music teacher and fine arts coordinator at a school, centrally located in our city's downtown. We are a Title 1 school, serving predominantly lower-income families. We are an Artful Learning school that implements Leonard Bernstein's Artful Learning curriculum, an inquiry-based education model. Our older students participate in an Arts Academy that offers a variety of classes, ranging from violin, guitar, drumming, show choir, keyboarding, dance, 2D and 3D arts, and drama.
