I have a science center set up in my classroom, but very few materials. My dream is to inspire my students to be curious about their world and give them interesting things to explore to make them even more curious. I see my role as teacher as facilitator. Kinder and First grade students already come with beautiful natural curiousity. My job is to offer them experiences that will help them grow. These materials will help students begin to get more curious about their environment around them. I hope by making them more aware of the beautiful things in our world, they will be future leaders in taking care of our planet. I have requested books that will make them think about our planet, specimens that will make them wonder, a sensory table to fill with interesting things from nature they can explore with all of their senses, and other basic science materials that make learning fun and exciting. Tom's of Maine is ready with a matching offer! Please help me be inspired by the curiousity of my students to take this learning experience far following their lead!
