My students are active, imaginative young teenagers who are navigating their journeys through life. As middle school students identified with disabilities, many of them struggle with the stigma associated with the identification as they work to find social success amongst students in general education classrooms. School routines and traditional instruction are often very difficult for them to follow. Despite the challenges they face, my students are vibrant, passionate individuals who bring excellent insights and effort into their educational experiences. They rise to the high expectations of the Common Core Standards with scaffolding and support appropriate for their current abilities and learning styles. To experience this success, my students need to experience the content in many ways. Your donations will help me to provide them with the supplies and materials they need to help them achieve their potential.
