This is a companion project for our previous Osmo Programming project. These bases allow me to use our existing classroom iPads to share Osmo Kits between 2 students. Students learn how to communicate directions in concise pictorial language they can understand as pre-readers. These kits teach logic order of operations and allow even the smallest students to then become effective computer programmers! When the youngest students learn how to program using manipulatives, their senses are engaged in ways the computer can't provide. Yet this system teaches (so very quickly) computer skills PLUS skills needed in math, language arts and science!
