My students need exposure to many types of engaging texts that appeal to various reading levels. The Scholastic Readworks magazine is a fantastic tool that help engage students with real world articles and opportunities to practice their comprehension strategies. Over the years I have used various Scholastic magazines and they have been valuable resources in our 5th grade classroom. It has wonderful articles and a variety of genres that will expose my students to many types of writing. We do not have a regular reading textbook and it would be wonderful to be able to use these magazines as a resource to teach reading skills that I know Scholastic highlights
