My students have guided reading every day. The kidney table and the chairs will be a great addition to our classroom and will help the students feel comfortable during small group instruction. It has been difficult to do this in their regular seats because our classroom is very crowded, with limited tables and chairs. The guided reading area will allow me to work with students and help them develop skills that they can use independently during reading. Also, the students will use the seat cushions to sit on the floor during lessons. The foam mat that I currently have is not big enough to fit all 31 students.
