I am a first grade teacher in a high poverty urban district. I have 28 students in my classroom and I strive to give them the best education and experiences to last a life time. Using centers based approach for activities, engages the students in their independent and small group activities that reinforces instruction. They learn to work on their own and with a partner which helps them socially and empowers them to become a leader in their own educational process. I am in need of many items to assist my classroom so I can create an active learning center environment that is engaging for the students. My classroom has old desks and the supplies from the school are nonexistent. I would love to be funded so I can create a engaging learning environment for my classroom.
