Hurricane Ida has devastated our community and my students were without their normal routine for 40+ days. In a time when so much has changed for my students, my classroom is a safe haven for my students. My classroom is set up to meet the varied needs of my students to ensure they can learn. Some of my students have sensory processing disorder and rely on sensory enrichment throughout their day. The items in this project will give these student and many more a variety of ways to meet there sensory needs. With these needs met, they can do their best learning. As a teacher, my goal is to not only support their academic needs but also their social emotional needs. Donating to my classroom will help replace what was lost so I can continue to help their beautiful minds grow.
