My students speak many languages and come from multiple countries. It is for this reason that I want to open their eyes, hearts, and minds to the world of education through art making. It is my philosophy that learning should be fun. In our art class, "creativity" and "fun" is the language that binds us together. I believe there is no limit for what our students can learn, and it is for this reason that I seek out experiences that may be once in a lifetime for many of them. Although 89% of our students receive free or reduced lunch, you would never know that from their smiling faces. Some students have incredibly difficult lives at home, and school is a safe and welcoming area for them to be.
