I am a first year 5th grade general education teacher in the Chicopee School District. I work at a Title 1 school with students with disabilities and/or are at risk for failure due to gaps in their education, as well as general education students. The students I work with are hardworking students. Unfortunately, many of these students come to school every day having experienced tough struggles at home such as homelessness and food insecurity. Each student receives free breakfast and lunch daily. Despite having the odds stacked against them, they do not let this define them. These are great kids at a great school who sincerely appreciate your support for their education.
