The purpose of our field trip is to enhance students’ learning by allowing our students to apply their skills in a real world situation. I would like to give them the opportunity to practice Spanish in a Mexican restaurant setting. Students will be immersed in the Spanish culture by ordering their own food, and also they will have the opportunity to eat delicious Mexican food. Our students are very excited about this up coming experience. Of course, in our chapter, “Vamos al restaurante” (Lets go the restaurant), they will be able to learn all phrases and questions to ask to the waiters in Spanish. The vocabulary associated with menus will also be introduced beforehand. Additionally, the purpose of this field trip is to teach the students the life skills they need when eating lunch in Hispanic restaurants like exhibiting proper table manners and acceptable behavior in public. This field trip will affect student learning by improving their vocabulary, pronunciation, and comprehension skills, as well as giving them practice in writing by creating a reflection essay about visiting the restaurant afterwards
