Working here at ou school for the last five years has been a joy, and the effort from students has been tremendous. A flower and vegetable garden would provide ample opportunities for our CDL program to grow. Our high school students would connnect to the pre-schoolers in a more diverse manner as never before. Not only would the garden bring a visual inspiration for the program but it would assist in creating lessons about life and the fruits of one's labor. These life lessons are a key component of teaching and this profession. Utilizing and guiding them in a fashion that goes beyond the classroom. With the garden in place, everyday maintenance would become a new responsibilty for the students. Teaching them how to keep things not only alive but florishing as well. Plant life cycles would be implemented into the curriculum as well.
