As a Speech-Language Pathologist working with special education pre-school students, there is always a need to be flexible. However, the 2020-2021 school year is already starting with its own challenges. I want to be able to help my students to have a successful and safe school year by being able to access interactive, play-based materials both at home and in-person. Individual learning bundles will be created for each of my students, whether materials be used in the school setting or home setting for remote learning. Laminated communication boards will be created and sent home for individual use to promote functional communication. My students are developmentally delayed and need appropriate resources to help them play, learn, explore and communicate. I am grateful and appreciative of those who are as excited as I am to prepare myself and my students for anything that is to come this new school year!
