I teach an Advanced English Literature class, which means that the students in my classroom are all college bound. They come into class knowing where they want to eventually be and realize that takes hard work and motivation. Many of my students come from challenging backgrounds. Several have suffered through some hardships and really deserve to have a chance to thrive. Our student population is close to 80% free and reduced price lunch and our school has less access to the learning materials that other schools have. The students are well aware of their lack of learning materials, but this doesn't stop them from their motivation to be life long learners. I am extremely blessed to have these students in my life.
