I teach art in a high poverty Elementary School. Each week, I see over 650 students for 40 minute art classes. I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade art, including one class of Special Needs students. Being a Title 1 school, many of my students have no art supplies at home, and have never experienced hands on art making before Kindergarten.
