Many of these items will be used by students as a calming tool to be able to get calm, refocus and be able to regain their ability to be a successful learner. The storage cart will be used for students to have easy access to the calming tools as they enter the Calm Room, they can make a choice as to which to start with and switch it out when needed. Organization is key to minimize clutter and maximize a peaceful and calm environment. Laminating posters, playdoh mats and activity sheets allows for them to be easily washed and reused to eliminate the use of multiple copies and when students are having big emotions print outs on the wall will be able to be put back up, instead of remaking them each time.
