There is no such thing as a child who does not like to read, they just haven’t found the Right Book Yet! By making books available in English and in Spanish, students will be able to create an even more powerful relationship with books, school, and most importantly each other. Bilingual students who abandon their home language often find themselves struggling in the education gap. Research supports encouraging ELL students to embrace their home language because truly bilingual students are better able to transfer their content knowledge from their home language to English in multiple subjects.
