My students come from a high poverty area in which their parents are only able to provide for their basic needs. At their young age of 3-4 years old, they have no access to books, technology or any educational materials in their homes. The classroom is the only place where they have the opportunity to explore materials and be read a story in their native language. The daily readings, book exposure and use of manipulatives helps them build their early learning skills.

About my class
