My students are highly motivated to learn and work inside and outside of the classroom. These materials will be used on a daily basis in the classroom, library and at home and will help them be prepared to go into the college arena so that they can compete with their peers and excel in their studies. A tablet is a useful tool for taking notes, research and quick presentations. Printers are essential since students will have to print their own papers, and often scan or copy notes or documents for class and projects. Finally, a mini fridge, TV and Firestick will allow students to enjoy more of the college experience. Each of these items will grant the student easier access to information and allow them to not have to rely on the college's resources. Many of my students do not have the money to purchase a tablet, printer or mini fridge, and this project will provide them with the ease that personal technology facilitates. It also lessens their financial burden and allows them to allocate more of their hard-earned money and scholarships towards tuition, fees, room, and board.
