Kindergartners not only have to learn to read and write but they also have to learn how to be in school. I want my students to love school. Expecting them to sit completely still and quiet for 6 hours a day is unrealistic and will definitely not create a love of learning. Young learners need to move! By giving my students different seating options I can let my students be who they are: curious, excited, and full of motion! Sitting on bouncing balls while they work allows students to accomplish tasks while still moving. The stool seat options allow my students to sit at taller tables. Lap desks give my students multiple options on the floor. This project will give us the options to wiggle while we work and have fun learning!
