My students are a bright and inquisitive bunch, eager to learn from one another and to explore the world around them. Although we come from diverse backgrounds, our classroom community is very strong. Our classroom is a place of discovery, as the school name suggests. Our focus next year will be on Project Based Learning and technology. My goal is to provide my students more hands-on experiences that will require them to apply their knowledge in real contexts. Students need to engage in learning and share their knowledge with others - not only in their immediate learning community, but also with those beyond our classroom doors. I hope to provide my students with the opportunity to make lasting connections, to reach global audiences, and to build a deeper understanding of concepts/topics through the innovative use of educational technologies.
