My school is Title I and almost 90% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of my players have never played volleyball before, putting them at a severe disadvantage when competing against schools with players who can afford to play club volleyball and have played for most of their lives. My girls often feel embarrassed about the quality of our equipment when attending other schools for away games and also when schools come to our home gym to play. Having new volleyballs will help my players feel more confident when competing and will help us be more productive during practice and competitive during games. We currently only have 6 or 7 good quality volleyballs, and it can be difficult to effectively run practice with so few balls and a team of 30 girls. We will use the new volleyballs to make drills during practice more efficient. The ball cart will be used to hold the new volleyballs, and the pump will be used to inflate the volleyballs as they lose air.
