With the book being in both languages, I can find the subject we are covering in the English text and a bilingual student can help my students who are new to learning English find the content in the Spanish text so they can access the content in a language they are confident with! This helps them master the content as well as the language because they are hearing it in English and can make connections between the English words and Spanish words.\r\n\r\nMy Spanish students are learning more confidently with these texts and they also appreciate feeling supported in their journey of learning English. They are more confident to interact with me and with their fluently bilingual peers because they understand that we accept them and are proud of them, wherever they are on their journey to Mastery of the English language.
