The essential items requested will make students excel. Students will be trained to use the "All-Instrument Clip On Tuner" in order to tune their instruments in class, as well as learn how to place their fingerings correctly on the fingerboard consequently able to play their instrument on the correct pitch. This is part of ear training and will enhance their performance. One tuner per section of the orchestra. Our cello section is in need of bows size 4/4, specifically "Brazilwood Cello Bow" as our school has many interested students wishing to learn this instrument but have no quality bows to use. "It's all in the case," means when the student goes home to practice the lesson learned in class; the instrument, book, bow and rosin are easily and safely stored in their case for the commute. In this grant I am seeking four "Harvard Padded cello case Bags" for students to take their instrument home and practice. This is essential for their success.
