Our school has been blessed with the opportunity to become a 1:1 tech school. I want to take full advantage of this and help my students know that Ipads and computers are more than just a way to play games.
My goal is for my students to become emersed in STEAM through technology. I want them to understand what coding is, how coding helps us, and how they can use coding in their own lives.
I am asking for Osmo starter kits to go with our Ipads. This will help to make our coding lessons more hands-on in a meaningful way for 5-year-olds. It will help make it more physical too, which will help them remember the material better.
I am also asking for a printer and charging equipment. I want students to be able to always have their device ready and for it not to die in the middle of the lesson. I also want an easy way for students to print their completed projects to take home to show their important people. They are so proud of their accomplishments and it is important for them to show their loved ones. I selected a printer that will let the students print directly from their Ipad. This will help save time and also foster some independence when they get to work at our STEAM station.
