I am looking to get some Oculus VR headsets for my classroom to allow my students to have "hands-on" experiences that they have missed out on due to COVID. The Oculus allows students to experience the world in ways that simply are not safe to do so during the pandemic. With the Oculus, our field trips are no longer limited by time, distance, or funding. VR opens up the entire world for my students to explore. As a 5th grade class, we will be able to visit the cites of important events in United States History as we learn about what happened there. We will be able to get close-up looks at how the various spheres on Earth interact with one another. The possibilities are endless with virtual reality!
