Our goal is to make the Wellness Center a comfortable, warm, home-like environment, but we are literally starting with a blank space. The items here will go along way towards filling the space and making it a place to learn and grow. All students at the school have access to this wellness Room. Students may come anytime that they need help in regulating their emotions. lessons are taught one on one as needed to help the individual. Because Kinetic Sand can be squeezed it provides deep pressure, which is a form of tactile input that is calming and organizing to the body which is especially helpful for those who are sensory seekers! Books and tools like kinetic sand help students focus on where they are and to release stress and anxiety. Places to sit quietly and breathe calmly provide the space to regulate emotions. The tools and supplies listed here will help us to make that happen on a school-wide basis safely with the ongoing conditions. Thank you for your help in funding this very special classroom.
